A compromise you may have to make when changing from a desktop to a laptop is the loss of a mouse. Of course you can still use a mouse with a laptop but it isn’t always ideal if sitting on a train for example. Touch pads have improved over time though and are now comfortable to use but for more people a separate mouse is preferable.

There are several types of mice available, some with standard USB port connection, some with wireless Bluetooth models and some specifically designed for gaming.

The compact optical mouse is good for nearly everything most people want to complement their laptop with and is easily attached into the USB port.

If gaming is your thing then you should look at something like our Gaming Mouse X20. It looks like the standard mouse from a distance but that’s where the comparison ends. Features such as a rapid fire switch that illuminates a track wheel when switched on coupled with flashing LED lights that indicate the resolution selection set this mouse apart. It is a mouse that not only completes your laptop but enhances your gaming experience as well.

If you want to lose the cables then the Bluetooth optical mouse has a range of up to 10m and works smoothly on most surfaces. Easy to navigate and with two-way scrolling, the lack of the lead makes it extremely versatile no matter where you are. Toshiba also have a wireless mouse that offers you the same features for those laptops that might not have the Bluetooth technology.

The range also offers a special travel mouse that is more compact in size and has a retractable lead to make it the perfect travelling companion for your laptop.

So if you’ve never really got on with that touch pad on your laptop then you’ll be glad to know that there is a mouse out there for everyone.
